EDMOND HALL
PROFOUNDLY BLUE BLUE NOTE

New Orleans native Hall was heard on numerous recordings dating back to 1927. His clarinet also graced a couple Billie Holiday sessions alongside Lester Young and Buck Clayton. By 1939 Hall became a fixture at Cafe Society in Greenwich Village with pianist Joe Sullivan , Teddy Wilson and trumpeter Henry" Red" Allen. This blues date finds Hall in great company; Charlie Christian, Meade Lux Lewis, Red Norvo and Teddy Wilson.
