Recorded live at the Douglas Beach House in Half Moon Bay, California February 1, 1976. For five years trumpeter Mitchell was an integral part of Horace Silver's ground-breaking unit. Chic Corea, Ray Charles, Tony Bennett, Lena Horne and Harold Land are some of the luminaries he's also recorded with. Although the balance is unequal on this live date, Mitchell is nothing less than spectacular. |
