The Baltimore Symphony's exploration of the future of
classical music performance through the development of innovative concert
formats and commitment to new music has earned the orchestra a reputation as a
haven for the newest generation of composers. Multiple Grammy Award-winning
recordings and an innovative radio broadcast series heard on 150 classical
radio stations are also part of its legacy. Current music director Yuri
Temirkanov took over in 1998 upon David Zinman's retirement. Here's a selected
list of concerts from the first half of the season. Check out our recommended
recordings of works being played. For more information on the Baltimore
Symphony season and how to order tickets, call (410)783-8000 or visit their Web
