Atlanta Symphony Orchestra

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra has risen from its humble beginnings as a local youth ensemble over half a century ago to become one of the nation's major orchestras. Under the late Robert Shaw, the ensemble gained prominence. Current music director Yoel Levi presides over an expansive season as well as the orchestra's recordings for the Telarc label. Here's a selected list of concerts from the first half of the season. Check out our recommended recordings of works being played. For more information on the Atlanta Symphony season and how to order tickets, call (404) 733-4800 or visit their Web site at www.atlantasymphony.org.
